Our top tips for buying and completing before the stamp duty holiday ends in March 2021.
If you are wanting to take advantage of the stamp duty saving, then you will have to act swiftly as there isn’t much time left to complete before the deadline. To save you some time we have put together our three top tips to try.
- Be certain on what you are looking for. This isn’t a time to rush but a time to discuss and make clear decisions.
- If you need to sell your property in order to buy again, ensure you have an offer accepted on your property first!
It is best that you wait until you’ve confirmed a buyer before you get too ahead of yourself with buying your next property. You wouldn’t want to cause a complicated chain and let other buyers down in the process.
- Get your mortgage in principal and solicitors sorted now ahead of your first viewing.
It doesn’t matter if you are a first-time buyer or a property pro, approaching agents with these already in place will show that you’re ready to go and will save you wasting precious time which will therefore speed up part of the process.
