What’s so special about Hengistbury Head?

What is it about Hengistbury Head that makes it so popular with so many home buyers?

To the north of the Broadway (the main road leading down to the head) you have bungalows, lots of bungalows with the odd chalet mixed in, along with a couple roads with nice 3 and 4 bedrooms houses.

South of the Broadway there are lots of high quality family houses with large gardens on mostly quiet road.  Prices are circa £450k to £650k with the odd gem fetching above and beyond that.

One thing every property has on Hengistbury Head is how fantastic the location is.  Close to the beach, a local post office, Tuckton for the butchers, Christchurch for coffee shops, general shopping and some very lovely restaurants, Southbourne for a more of the same and then still only a short drive to Bournemouth town centre.

If you have pets the head is arguably one of the nicest places to take the dog for a walk.  It’s certainly one of mine.

You can also walk (or take the noddy train for the lazier among us) down to Mudeford Spit, with one of the nicest beaches in the area on one side and picturesque views across Christchurch Harbour the other.  The restaurant there is a nice spot to watch a pretty incredible sunset.

If you’re thinking of buying or selling a property on Hengistbury Head, do give us a call and we’d be happy to help.
