Southbourne Market Update – March 2017.

Southbourne is a fantastic place to live.  All us local resident know that…. Over the last two years or so it seems everyone else has noticed this too.  There are more higher income families coming to the area than ever before.

So how have the average price for a 3-bed house just shy of £395,000.  Based on land registry records.  From a what you would pay perspective as of today, I think this price is now on average a touch higher.  The average detached house sale over the last 3 months has been £445,542.

Flats have fared slightly negatively over the same period.

In real terms we have seen ground floor flats with gardens performing very well, along with first floor or above with outside space (balcony or such).  Flats with no outside space or no brilliant features (amazing kitchen/diner, great bathroom etc. aren’t performing quite so well as they did in the previous quarter.

Overall in Southbourne the market is without doubt positive.  For those looking at buying, it’s pretty tough to find the right property with supply not meeting demand.
