HISTORY
After its construction in 1881, the property was occupied for use as a private school, known as Cheltenham House, run by Alfred Francis Roper. In 1910 the property changed hands and was then known by it's new name 'Chinewood' and used by St Wulfram's boys school which aimed to 'prepare boys for Public Schools and the Royal Navy'. After World War Two, Chinewood was used for holiday lets and then self-contained residential apartments.
